“The GAIN Network: Coaching the best to be better” is the creation of Vern Gambetta and ‘The Gambetta Method’\u00a0represents a unique and innovative approach to training and rehabilitating athletes based on 30+ years of experience working with a multitude of sports at all levels of competition.<\/p>\n

Vern’s Mission Statement is:\u00a0<\/span>
\nTo follow the functional path to “Building the Complete Athlete”, or if the athlete is injured, by “Rebuilding the Complete Athlete.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The MISSION of GAIN is to provide a global platform for education, innovation and motivation in athletic development with a focus on the possibilities for enhancing human movement through an emphasis on connections between all disciplines to enable adaptable athletes to perform at their optimum.<\/p>\n

The Faculty of GAIN\u00a0are experienced professionals who combine their knowledge, experiences and passion for teaching to help guide you. They are leaders in their respective fields who are in the trenches working in the field of athletic development.<\/p>\n

Theme: Applying practice based evidence to make the athlete better<\/p>\n

The Gambetta Athletic Improvement Network (GAIN) is a network of professionals that are interested in learning and sharing to improve their abilities and enhance their professional development. Our goal is to define the field of Athletic Development by educating professionals in foundational principles and methodology as applied to coaching, physical education and rehabilitation. This is an intense five-day workshop. We start at 6:30 in the morning and end at 9:00 at night. There is a mixture of lecture, discussions, hot topic panels and practical learn by doing participation and demonstration. If you are sincerely interested in advancing your professional development I would encourage you to apply as soon as possible. The objective is to provide an educational experience that will significantly advance people’s careers by sharing information with other professionals in a setting that encourages an open exchange of ideas.<\/p>\n

GAIN 2015 will be June 17 to June 21 at Rice University in Houston, Texas. The program is open to sport coaches, conditioning coaches, physical education teachers, athletic trainers, physical therapists, chiropractors and doctors. Tuition is $1,875.
