It\u2019s totally different and helps make you feel better. Many people do it as a passion and many others do it to make money from their\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">blogs<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">.<\/span><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">Blogging<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0is a term derived from\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0word \u201cBlog\u201c, which is an abbreviated word used for term \u201cWeblog\u201c, used to describe different type\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">of<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0Websites and Portals which share information on specific topics or wider categories.<\/span><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><span style=\"color: #222222;\">Each skill you need to run and manage a Blog is called\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">blogging<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">. This includes skills like &#8216;Search Engine Optimisation&#8217;; &#8216;Social Media Marketing&#8217;; Writing, Editing and Publishing Posts; Designing and Maintaining\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0design\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">of<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0your Website, etc. You should be a good writer to write lot\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">of<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">unique and quality content for your website.&#8221;<\/span><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><span style=\"color: #222222;\">(<\/span><a style=\"color: #1155cc;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.blogginggame.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.blogginggame.com<\/a><span style=\"color: #222222;\">)<\/span><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><strong><span style=\"color: #222222;\">Why start\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">Blogging<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">&#8230;?<\/span><\/strong><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">The<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0rate at which &#8216;Social Media&#8217; has taken off so far in\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a021st Century is quite frightening\u2026<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">speed with which things can go &#8216;viral&#8217; round\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0world is so rapid&#8230;<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0ease with which you can make connections&#8230;<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0ease with which you can communicate with people&#8230;<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0ease with which you can read\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0latest information available out there after a few taps\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">of<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0screen&#8230;<\/span><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><span style=\"color: #222222;\">Many people have many different reasons why they start\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">blogging<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">&#8230;I believe\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0main reason for this is that it comes at\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0&#8216;right&#8217; moment in their life\/career when they feel they are &#8216;ready&#8217; to share their ideas with\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0world&#8230;<\/span><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><span style=\"color: #222222;\">They have been through many experiences&#8230;they have gained lots\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">of<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0knowledge&#8230;they have sourced information from many different sources and people&#8230;they have continually challenged their thinking and ideas&#8230;they have created and built success based on sound, logical principles&#8230;they have applied what they have learned and seen\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0positive results&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Chile 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\">Fast forward to Chile 2013&#8230;where you have moved away from your &#8216;comfort zone&#8217; in\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0UK for 33 years&#8230;to challenge yourself in a new environment&#8230;a new job&#8230;a new language&#8230;a new culture&#8230;a new country&#8230;with many unknowns&#8230;with all your family and friends back home&#8230;<\/span><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><span style=\"color: #222222;\">Some would say that is a risk&#8230;is it a risk worth taking\u2026? Is\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0grass always greener on\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">other side\u2026? If you do not take\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0jump and leap\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">of<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0faith you will never know\u2026What I can say is that it opens up a &#8216;Pandora&#8217;s Box&#8217;\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">of<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0opportunities and fresh challenges&#8230;<\/span><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><span style=\"color: #222222;\">It gives you\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0time to think:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;How can you continue growing as a person\u2026?&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222;\">&#8220;How can you keep up-to-date with what is going on in\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0world&#8230;?&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li>&#8220;How can you improve your knowledge and understanding &#8230;?&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;How can you keep in touch with people&#8230;?&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\">With\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0freedom\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">of<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">Twitter<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0these questions are very easy to answer:\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">Twitter<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0is an excellent information sharing engine by allowing you to follow people&#8230;people to follow you&#8230;post Tweets, make Retweets and tag Favourites&#8230;share Blog postings&#8230;share points\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">of<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0view&#8230;and share thoughts and opinions&#8230;<\/span><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><span style=\"color: #222222;\">By making a comment about a Tweet; that can spark\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0start\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">of<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0a new adventure&#8230;a new connection&#8230;a new communication channel&#8230;a new avenue to share thoughts and ideas&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Connections<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\">Through this process I now have connections all around\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0world where I have never met them in person&#8230;just through\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">power<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">of<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">Twitter<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0movement&#8230;like minded people that share similar passions&#8230;being a part\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">of<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0&#8216;<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">Twitter<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0family&#8217;&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lynn Kidman @lkidman \u00a0(New Zealand);<\/li>\n<li>Ross Munro Williams @RossRugby (South Africa);<\/li>\n<li>Coach Logic @coachlogic \u00a0(Scotland);<\/li>\n<li>Creative Rugby @Creative_Rugby (England);<\/li>\n<li>Mark Upton @uppy01 (Australia now England);<\/li>\n<li>Stuart Lierich @KickCoaching (Australia);<\/li>\n<li>Lee Cunningham @08Dionnelee (England);<\/li>\n<li>Rob Nichol @robert_nichol (Canada);<\/li>\n<li>and many more&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\">This empowerment to Blog in 2014 and share information came from my pre-<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">Twitter<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0days during July and August 2009 when\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0University\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">of<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0Queensland and Nudgee College (Brisbane, Queensland, Australia) welcomed me for 1 week and 2 weeks respectively, and\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0Crusaders (Christchurch, New Zealand) rugby environment for 3 weeks, which taught me\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">power<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">of\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">sharing and discussing ideas&#8230;it was a breath\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">of<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0fresh air&#8230;it opened my eyes&#8230;<\/span><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><span style=\"color: #222222;\">I have to thank David Enfantie (Head Coach, University\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">of<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0Queensland Rugby Academy), Todd Dammers (Director\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">of<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0Rugby, Nudgee College 2006-2010), John Haggart (Canterbury Crusaders High Performance Unit), Rob Penney (Canterbury NPC Head Coach 2006-2011), Tabai Matson (Canterbury NPC Assistant Coach 2009-2011), Matt Sexton (Crusaders Academy Manager 2007-2012), Jamie Hamilton (Crusaders Performance Analyst) and Dave Hewett (Crusaders Scrum Coach) for their time, kindness, humility and for providing opportunities to discuss their philosophies and ideas with me&#8230;and for me to observe their coaching practices&#8230;<\/span><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">The<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0impact you can make&#8230;<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0influence you can have&#8230;<\/span><span class=\"il\" style=\"color: #222222;\">the<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0ideas and thoughts you can share&#8230;all make for a powerful &#8216;flow&#8217;
