I firmly believe in that the game of rugby is based on ‘Principles’\u2026’Principles of Attack’\u2026’Principles of Defence’…<\/p>\n

This is a revolutionary way to view the game\u2026a ‘Paradigm Shift’\u2026something that I have not seen so far anywhere in the world of coaching…<\/p>\n

What does this actually mean\u2026?<\/p>\n

Here are the Coaching Manual ‘textbook’ answers:-<\/p>\n

Attack<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Gain Possession;<\/li>\n
  2. Go Forward;<\/li>\n
  3. Provide Support;<\/li>\n
  4. Maintain Continuity;<\/li>\n
  5. Apply Pressure;<\/li>\n
  6. Score.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Defence<\/strong><\/p>\n

      What do these textbook answers really mean\u2026?!<\/p>\n

      I believe they miss the point of what the game of Rugby Union is really about\u2026!<\/p>\n
